Collaborative minds digest The Pearl: Session 2

Comment on Steinbeck's use of dialogue in The Pearl. Remember dialogue is what the characters in the story are saying; to themselves and to each other. How much or how little dialogue is present? What do you believe is Steinbeck's purpose for how much or little dialogue he uses? Take it even a step further and discern-what is the purpose of the dialogue? Do you believe Steinbeck has adequately utilized dialogue in this particular story? Explain.
